An artificial grass play yard in Forrestdale with a timber climbing fort, slide and shade sail over the main play area.
The project
Everwood Early Education in Forrestdale needed a yard that stayed green and usable all year, without the mud and bare patches a natural lawn gives you in a childcare centre. Jay’s Playground Solutions turfed the whole play area in artificial grass and set a timber climbing fort with a slide into it.
A shade sail covers the fort and the landing area beneath it, so both the equipment and the surface stay cool enough to use through the middle of a Perth summer. The turf runs right to the fence line and around the garden beds, which keeps the yard on one clean, level surface with nothing for children to trip on.
Artificial grass is the low-maintenance choice for a centre of this size — no mowing, no watering, no worn patches under the equipment — and it drains straight through after rain, so the yard is back in use quickly.
