THE PRODUCT

Coloured EPDM granules
for the wear layer

EPDM is the coloured synthetic granule that forms the top of a wet pour soft fall surface. It is mixed with polyurethane binder and trowelled over an SBR shock pad, where it cures into a seamless, permeable surface.

It is weather and UV resistant, slip resistant in the wet, non-abrasive and non-toxic, which is why it is the wear layer most childcare centres, schools and sports facilities choose.

QUESTIONS

Questions about EPDM

How much EPDM do I need?

It depends on the area and the depth of the wear layer. Send us both and we will work out the bags and the binder for you.

What is the difference between EPDM and SBR?

SBR is recycled black rubber and is normally the base layer. EPDM is a coloured synthetic granule used for the wear layer you actually see. Most jobs use both: SBR underneath for depth, EPDM on top for colour and durability.

Can I lay it myself?

Yes. Everything is available supply only, so you can lay it yourself or use your own contractor. If you would rather we laid it, we quote the whole surface, base preparation included.

Do you deliver, or can I collect?

Supply only orders ship, or can be collected from our Malaga or Jandakot showroom.

Is there trade pricing?

Yes. Businesses with an ABN can open a trade account for net pricing across rubber, turf and decking on one account.

Want it laid instead?

Tell us the area and what is going over it, and we will come out, measure it and give you a fixed written quote.
