Above about 33 degrees every synthetic lawn feels hot underfoot — ours included, and we would rather say so here. What these two change is how fast the surface drops back once the sun comes off it, which is what decides whether the yard is usable at five o’clock.

Rolls are 3.75 m wide as standard (2 m and 4 m on most ranges). Because the pile lies one way, all pieces in a lawn have to run the same direction, so a 4 m × 6 m yard is not 24 sq.m of turf — it is two 3.75 m drops. Send us the measurements and we will work out the cutting list.
All of them. Every range we stock is tested for restricted heavy metals — lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium — using the EN 62321 test methods, and for UV and weather resistance to EN 14836. There is no lawn on this page that is unsafe for a pet, and every one of them drains through a perforated latex backing. Drainage is rarely the thing that decides it: every range here is perforated and drains straight through, and the backing shifts far more water than any Perth downpour delivers. What makes a yard puddle is the base underneath, not the grass on top — ask us which of our five base systems suits your soil. What changes between ranges is how well they live with a dog: a higher dtex wears better under claws, some run cooler underpaw through summer, and some resist mould better on the damp shaded side of the house. Our picks for dog owners are Coast 35, Oasis 35, Omni Luxe and Winter Green 40. For odour we brush in Aguachill Sand — a 100% organic volcanic ash mineral that locks up the ammonia in urine before it becomes a smell, and which also holds moisture through the pile so the surface runs cooler. Jay Fresh is the other option. Both are add-ons, not part of the per-square-metre price.
Straight answer: above about 33 degrees every synthetic lawn feels hot underfoot, cooling yarn included. Ours are no exception and we would rather tell you that here than have you find out in January. What the cooling ranges change is recovery speed — how fast the surface sheds the heat once the sun comes off it. Winter Green 40, whose data sheet is headed Cool Grass 40, uses bi-colour solar-reflective yarn; Oasis 35, designed in Holland at 8000 dtex, has a blade profile built to reflect and disperse rather than store heat. Both come back down to comfortable noticeably sooner than a standard turf, which is what matters for a yard the family actually uses in the late afternoon. Both are also pet friendly. If temperature is the deciding factor, pair either one with Aguachill Sand infill — the volcanic mineral holds moisture through the pile and evaporation pulls heat out of the surface. Yarn plus infill together is the coolest thing we can build.

Every range on this page carries a 10-year warranty. Omni Luxe carries 25 years — it is the heaviest and most durable carpet we stock, and the warranty is the clearest way of saying so. We have been supplying and installing across Perth since 2014, averaging about 100 sq.m laid per day.
Most artificial grass has a grain — the blades all lean the same way, so the lawn looks lighter from one end and picks up a shine from certain angles as the light catches it. Omni Luxe is the only range we stock with non-directional yarn: it reads the same from every direction and from every window in the house, with no glare off the blades. That is a large part of why it looks more like real grass than anything else on this page.
