Completed playground project
Kinross, Western Australia
Soft fall rubber surfacing supplied and installed beneath the flying fox run at Kinross Primary School.

The project
Kinross Primary School engaged Jay’s Playground Solutions for one part of its flying fox project: the soft fall rubber surfacing beneath the run. The equipment itself was supplied and installed by others — our scope was the surface the children take off from and land on.
The rubber was laid in two colours to mark out the run. The launch mound is 80% Rose Red #19 with 20% Red #01, and the track is 80% Blue #04 with 20% Light Blue #05, so the take-off point and the run read clearly from across the playground.
The transitions between sections were the detail that mattered most. Each pour was blended into the next so the finished surface has no visible joins along the length of the run — which also means no edges to lift, catch or trip on.
