No oiling, no sanding, no summer it doesn’t survive. Six colours, supplied and installed by the people who warrant it.
Composite decking is wood fibre and recycled plastic pressed into a board that behaves like timber and none of the maintenance that comes with it. In Perth that matters more than it does almost anywhere: the UV is hard on an oiled deck, the summer is long, and the weekend you spend sanding is a weekend you do not get back.
We sell it over the counter at Malaga and Jandakot, and we install it across the metro area — supplied, installed and warranted by us, so there is nobody to point at if something needs sorting. Boards from $330 a square metre supplied and installed, with the subframe in the rate.
A timber deck is a job you do every second summer. This one isn’t.
The hardest place to put timber, and the easiest place to justify composite. It does not splinter, it does not need oiling where the splash lands, and the salt that eats a timber deck around the coping does nothing to it.

Most Perth blocks have a strip down the side and a slab under the alfresco that never quite works. A low deck over the top squares it off, lifts it out of the sand, and turns the leftover into the part of the yard people actually sit in.

Where a deck meets a lawn is where most back yards look unfinished — a lip, a gap, a strip of dirt that never grows. When one measure covers both, the levels are set once and the edge lands flush.

Every colour is on the floor at both showrooms. Take an offcut home and look at it against your brick and your roof before you decide — screen colour and afternoon Perth light are not the same thing.

Timber is cheaper on day one and it is a genuinely lovely material. It also asks you for a weekend every year or two, forever. Here is the trade, without the marketing.
Three hours after we leave, everything that decides whether the deck is still flat in ten years is out of sight.
We come out, measure the shape, check the fall and the height, and look at what the frame has to land on. Perth metro, no charge, no obligation.
Most of the money and all of the longevity is underneath. The subframe is set out, levelled and fixed to whatever it lands on — sand, pavers or a slab — before a single board is opened.
Composite moves with heat, and Perth gives it plenty. Boards go down on hidden clips with the gaps set for the run length, so nothing buckles in February.
Cut ends are covered with matching fascia, so the deck reads as one piece rather than a set of boards with their ends showing.
Offcuts, packaging and dust go with us.
You get the written warranty document with the job — 25 years on the product, plus the workmanship cover, set out in writing rather than left to a conversation.

A product warranty on the Dura Decking boards against manufacturing defects, and against splitting, rotting or splintering under normal use.
Where we install it, the installation carries its own 6-month warranty — board spacing and fixing, movement or delamination from poor workmanship, and installation not in line with manufacturer or industry standards.
Weathering, staining and marks from chemicals; ground movement or settlement under the deck; ordinary wear and tear; and damage that follows from neglect.
Written notice within 14 days of noticing a defect, your proof of purchase, and access for us to come and look at it. The warranty stays with the original purchaser.
Summarised from the written warranty issued with every job. The document governs.
A 25-year product warranty on the Dura Decking boards — covering manufacturing defects, and splitting, rotting or splintering under normal use. Where we install it, the workmanship carries its own 6-month warranty on top. You get the written warranty document with the job.
Composite settles slightly in its first three to six months and then holds — that initial settling is normal for the material rather than a fault, and it is not something the warranty treats as a defect. After that it stays far closer to day one than an unoiled timber deck ever does.
No. It applies to the original purchaser named on the invoice or contract.
Keep it clean — water and mild soap, and clear organic debris off it. If something does go wrong, tell us in writing within 14 days of noticing it, keep your invoice, and let us come and look at it. Neglect is one of the listed exclusions.
From $330 per square metre, supplied and installed, with the subframe included. What moves the number is height off the ground, whether the frame lands on sand, pavers or a slab, how many cuts and angles the shape needs, and whether steps or fascia are involved. Removing an existing deck, retaining and electrical work are quoted separately. We quote after a free on-site measure, anywhere in the Perth metro area.
No. Sweep it, and wash it with water and mild soap when it needs it. That is the whole reason people change over from timber.
Any dark outdoor surface in full Perth sun gets hot, composite included. The palest boards — Smokey Grey, then Slate Grey — run noticeably cooler underfoot, which is why they are the usual choice around pools. Stand on the samples at the showroom on a hot afternoon; it settles the question faster than any spec sheet.
Yes. It does not splinter, it does not need oiling where the splash lands, and it handles the salt and chlorine that shorten the life of a timber deck.
Yes. Boards, hidden clips, screws, fascia and adjustable pedestals are on the shelf at both showrooms and in the online shop. Note that the 6-month workmanship warranty applies only where we do the installation — supply-only jobs carry the 25-year product warranty on the board alone.
That is a large share of our work — deck against lawn, one measure, one contractor, one warranty conversation. It is also why the levels line up where the two meet.
