Artificial grass · Supplied and installed
From $75 per square metre supplied and installed. Free on-site measure, a fixed written quote, and a base built for what the area actually has to take.

What decides the result
Two lawns using the same roll can look completely different in three years. The difference is underneath. A base that was not compacted properly settles, and every soft spot and every join shows.
We work with five base build-ups depending on drainage, traffic and whether the area sits over soil, sand, concrete or a suspended slab. On a normal sandy Perth block that means excavating 60 to 80 mm, spreading and levelling road base or cracker dust, and compacting it in layers. Where vehicles will sit on it, 100 mm.
Turf is then laid all in one direction, joined with tape and adhesive, trimmed to the edges, pegged at about 300 mm intervals and infilled with washed silica sand before it is brushed up.

Build-ups
Which one we use is decided at the measure, not in the office. The four below cover almost every Perth job.
Most Perth blocks
Excavate 60 to 80 mm, weed mat, road base or cracker dust, compacted in layers to a level finish.
100 mm base
Deeper compacted base where cars will be parked or turned, so the surface does not rut.
Drainage first
Shockpad or a drainage layer over the slab, with falls kept to where the water already goes.
No soil underneath
Edge fixing and drainage matter more than the base. Nothing is fixed through a waterproof membrane.
How it works
We come to you across the Perth metro area, measure the area, check the falls and the drainage and look at what has to come out.
One price for the whole job, in writing. It holds unless you change the scope.
The old lawn or paving comes out and goes with us, then the base is built and compacted. This is most of the time on site.
Laid one way, joined, trimmed, pegged at about 300 mm, infilled and brushed up, and the site left clean.
Doing it yourself instead? Every range is available by the metre with pegs, joining tape, adhesive and infill from the artificial grass shop, and trade buyers can open a trade account.
Questions
Supplied and installed, from $75 per square metre. The rate moves with the range you pick, how much preparation the site needs and how cut up the area is, because offcuts and joins cost time.
We lay around 100 square metres a day, so a typical 100 square metre back yard is about two days on site. Most of that is the base.
At least 60 to 80 mm for the base on a normal domestic area. Where cars will be parked or moved we go to 100 mm.
Yes. Excavation, removal and disposal of the existing lawn or paving is part of an installed quote unless you have asked us to leave it.
Yes, all year. Heavy rain can hold up the excavation and base work, because saturated ground cannot be compacted properly, so a wet week can move a start date.
